I myself have retired from the sea, having spent 40 years on the rolling deep. Over the years I have read many nautical books, but I have to say, that this is the most realistic and refreshing read I have had. Years ago, as a teenager, I enjoyed the privilege of sailing around Cape Horn, and I have never forgotten it! Adrian Flanagan's intimate description of Drake Passage simply beggars belief! I raise my hat to this one, and a glass!

The chart arrived much more quickly than expected and, following comments in previous customer reviews, I was pleased that my instruction not to fold it had been followed and it was well packed in a strong tube.
